Follow these steps for a smooth and quick transition
We want your transition to EverBank to be as smooth as possible, especially since the process differs based upon the type of account you’ve opened. Take a look at the information below to help guide you through the process of switching to your new EverBank account. It will also help you set up the features associated with it. Or feel free to print out a switch kit for your account—personal or business. These kits have all the information you need, all grouped together.



Personal Accounts
The first thing you need to do is Apply Online. Then, based upon the type of account you've opened, follow the steps below. If you'd like for us to walk you through the process, contact a Customer Care Specialist whenever you need to, 888.882.EVER (3837) or service@everbank.com.
  1. Stop actively using your previous account, leaving enough money to cover pending transactions.
  2. Set up direct deposit for your paycheck, pension and/or Social Security funds.
  3. Switch automatic payments from your old account to your new account.
  4. Sign on to our Online Financial Center. You can set up optional Online Bill Pay and your recurring payments. View a demo of our award-winning Online Financial Center and see what it can do for you.
  5. Close your old account when all outstanding items have cleared. You can use our Account Closing Checklist if you like as a tool when closing your account(s) at your previous bank.

Business Accounts

  1. Stop actively using your previous account, leaving enough money to cover pending transactions.
  2. Set up automatic debits and credits in the online banking platform you selected. If you haven't selected an online banking platform, a Business Relationship Specialist can help you.
  3. Inform any trading partners of your new account number. Use our Account Change Checklist if you'd like.
  4. Close your old account when all outstanding items have cleared. You can use the Account Closing Checklist as a tool when closing your account(s) at your previous bank.
