Subscription Credit Facility (SCF)
Common use
Our SCF powers your short-term capital needs, bridging the time between a capital call to the capital contribution. Use it to aggregate capital calls, defer capital calls, build working capital, bridge debt financing, issue letters of credit, lend directly to portfolio companies or to add fund-level debt.
Collateral
Collateral can include uncalled capital commitments (UCCs) of the investors (also called “limited partners” or “LPs”) and the accounts into which capital commitments are funded.
Facility structure
- Typically a revolving facility provided at the fund level
- Tenors range from 1–3 years
- Full recourse to the fund
- Security over the capital commitments
Hybrid Facility
Common use
Our Hybrid Facility solution is a tool to give you the edge for a variety of business objectives, including to aggregate or defer capital calls or build working capital, providing back leverage to portfolio companies or acquisition financing and more.
Collateral
Collateral can include uncalled capital commitments (UCCs) of the investors (also called “limited partners” or “LPs”) and the accounts into which the commitments are funded, usually in addition to one or more of the following:
- A blanket lien on all fund assets
- A blanket lien on accounts to which asset proceeds must be directed
- Limit on other fund-level debt (e.g., to support value of fund recourse if there is no lien on assets)
Facility structure
- Revolving or split-tranche revolving/term loan facility
- Tenors range from 1–3 years
- Full recourse to the fund
- Security over the collateral
Net Asset Value Facility (NAV)
Common use
With our NAV facility solution, you can leverage assets from a diverse investment base. It’s an ideal choice when you want funds to maintain liquidity or unlock options beyond your fund’s investment period, add fund-level debt for post-investment period liquidity, add-on investments, enhanced leverage or to return capital to investors.
Collateral
Collateral may include a blanket lien on all fund assets, accounts to which monetization proceeds must be directed, fund’s equity interest in individual portfolio companies or fund’s equity interest in asset special purpose vehicles (SPVs). Often no lien on uncalled capital commitments (UCCs).
Facility structure
- Term loan facility provided at either the fund or asset special purpose vehicle (SPV) level
- Tenors vary by use case (up to 5 years)
- May have full or no recourse to the fund (dependent on structure)
- Security over the collateral
