Singapore dollar (SGD)

A country that relies heavily on trade, Singapore has established itself as one of the top 10 most competitive economies in the world. Its dollar is a free-floating currency. It's important to note here that free floating doesn't always mean that it's “free from any ties.” It simply means that it’s not a “managed currency” with a fixing each day, like rupees and renminbi and a host of other currencies that get fixed, or are pegged to the dollar.1
