Ebony Carey

Ebony Carey is Executive Vice President, Chief Auditor of EverBank. Prior to joining the bank, Ms. Carey held senior roles in the Internal Audit Services (IAS) division, dating back to 2008, where she led teams responsible for internal audit and advisory procedures across the company’s corporate functions including Compliance, Law & Policy, Marketing & Communications and Human Resources. Previously, she was responsible for multi-year strategic people priorities across IAS, which included assisting with the integration of the internal audit team of the original EverBank. She has also held internal audit roles at First Charter Bank and the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Inspector General.

Ms. Carey began her career at the FDIC as an Assistant Bank Examiner, performing safety and soundness examinations of community banks regulated by the agency. She graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Towson University, has completed the TIAA/UNC-Chapel Hill Kenan-Flagler Business School Emerging Leaders Program, and holds the Certified Internal Auditor certification.
