Mike Mascia

Mike Mascia is the Executive Vice President and Head of Fund Finance at EverBank, where he sits on the bank’s Management Committee and the Assets and Liabilities Committee. The Fund Finance division of EverBank provides Subscription Facilities, NAV lines, Hybrids, GP Facilities, and other financing, advisory, and placement solutions to the private capital community. They finance continuation vehicles, collateralized fund obligations and rated note feeders. Mike also leads the bank’s syndication and distribution desk.
Prior to joining EverBank, Mike was Chair of the Finance Practice Group at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP and served on the firm's management committee. He built and led a 75-plus lawyer fund finance group representing banks and lenders in facilities to private equity funds sponsored by many of the world’s leading private equity sponsors.
Mike is the founder of the Global Fund Finance Symposium, now in its 15th year, and a co-founder and board member of the Fund Finance Association. He has served as Contributing Editor of five editions of the fund finance legal treatise published by Global Legal Group (2017–2021) and founded fundfinancefriday.com, the industry’s leading weekly market update and legal newsletter. He also chairs the annual Fund Finance University training conferences.
A committed advocate for education, Mike, along with his wife Maria, founded the Mascia Family Banking Scholarships at UNC School of Law and the Mike and Maria Mascia Scholarship Fund at UNC, which provides academic scholarships to outstanding scholars of Latina background. Mike also serves on the board of directors for the law school's Center for Banking and Finance. He holds a B.A. in Industrial Relations and a J.D. from the University of North Carolina, and an M.B.A. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
