GOBankingRates Names TIAA Bank as One of the Best

This marks the fifth straight year TIAA Bank has been honored, and it’s the latest award from a national news outlet

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — February 1, 2023 —TIAA Bank has been named one of the “Best Online Banks” of 2023 by GOBankingRates, the fifth straight year it’s been recognized by one of the leading destinations for personal finance news and information.

The list of Best Banks 2023 came after the editorial team examined over 120 banks and 50 credit unions, analyzing criteria such as rates, locations and online capabilities. TIAA Bank earned praise for its online service, as well as its checking and CD accounts.

“TIAA Bank is a great option for those customers who value high yields and diverse options,” GOBankingRates wrote. The story said customers with more liquidity and enough money to open Yield Pledge accounts may find the bank’s rates “very competitive,” and the article also said the “variety of high-yield CDs are a great way to grow your money with up to five-year terms.”

This marks the latest honor TIAA Bank has earned from a national news outlet, such as Forbes Advisor, Kiplinger, Bankrate, HuffPost and Motley Fool. The reasons range from guaranteed competitive rates to direct interest checking and helping clients impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.

“Exceptional client service and innovative products have always been our bank’s hallmarks, and we’re honored that GOBankingRates continues to recognize us as an industry leader,” said Steve Fischer, TIAA Bank’s President and CEO. “This award is a testament to our banking team’s continued hard work and commitment to excellence.”

In addition to serving consumer clients, TIAA Bank provides a wide range of commercial banking deposit and lending services to businesses nationwide, including commercial real estate lending, vendor equipment financing, specialty lender finance and structured mortgage finance.
