EverBank Expands Lender Finance Team with Strategic Hires

Edward Chang joins as managing director; Leslie Ramirez joins as associate

Jacksonville, FL – EverBank, N.A., announced the continued growth of its Lender Finance group within the bank’s Asset-Backed Finance division with the additions of Edward Chang, who joins as managing director, and Leslie Ramirez, who joins as associate.

Chang joined EverBank earlier this year following leadership roles across the lender finance industry. He brings more than 20 years of experience in specialty finance and structured lending, including senior leadership positions at Encina Lender Finance and Wells Fargo.

Ramirez comes to EverBank from CIBC Bank USA’s Specialty Finance Group, where she supported underwriting, execution and portfolio management for asset-backed credit facilities serving specialty finance companies across consumer and commercial sectors.

Chang and Ramirez are part of EverBank’s growing Lender Finance team led by Jaime Caruso, head of lender finance, alongside Jon Lustig, Omari Prescod, John “JJ” Ohlrich and Ryan Mannell.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Edward and Leslie to the team. Their combined experience will be instrumental as we continue to expand the Lender Finance platform and further build out the team’s capabilities,” said Jaime Caruso, head of Lender Finance at EverBank. “Edward adds deep industry expertise and leadership in the commercial lender finance segment strengthening our ability to source, structure and scale complex transactions, while Leslie brings strong analytical and underwriting experience along with a thoughtful, client-focused approach. Together, they position us well to continue growing and delivering tailored solutions for our clients.”

EverBank’s Lender Finance group, part of the broader Asset-Backed Finance division, provides customized financing solutions to consumer and commercial finance companies, specialty lenders and alternative asset managers across a wide range of asset classes.
