EverBank and the Jacksonville Jaguars Celebrate the 10th Annual “Jaguars for a Day” Tradition with Community PēdsCare® Families

Local youth receive a once-in-a-lifetime experience

JACKSONVILLE, FL, Sept. 26, 2023 – To support children fighting life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, EverBank and the Jacksonville Jaguars teamed up with The Foundation of Community Hospice & Palliative Care for the 10^th annual “Jaguars for a Day” tradition at EverBank Stadium.

On Sunday, September 24, four Community PēdsCare patients experienced a day in the life of a professional football player as part of “Jaguars for a Day” at EverBank Stadium.

Upon arrival at EverBank Stadium, the special guests signed a one-day contract to be a Jacksonville Jaguar, received a personalized jersey and spent time talking with General Manager Trent Baalke and their new team. It was an unforgettable experience for the four new Jaguars team members: John Westberry, age 12, Charles Sapp, age 13, Kingston McGill, age 14 and Jamie Weeks, age 20.

“I’m so blessed by the people I’ve met,” said Jamie Weeks. “Having cancer is not easy but I’ve had many of my dreams come true.  I’m so grateful for the experiences and the people I’ve shared them with.”
