EverBank Builds Trailblazer Team Award winners, Margie Sergent & Ginger Shegog.
In 2025, EverBank reached an exciting milestone—we presented the Trailblazer Award to a team for the very first time. This honor went to two leaders whose partnership, passion and dedication have set a new standard for community commitment: Margie Sergent and Ginger Shegog.
Together, they demonstrate what it truly means to lead by example. Individually, they each bring something special—heart, creativity and unwavering dedication. Collectively, they elevate EverBank’s culture and inspire others to join them in advancing our Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) goals.
Margie: Leading with heart and tireless dedication
Margie approaches every opportunity to serve with sincerity and compassion. Her commitment runs so deep that she even volunteered while on PTO—an act that speaks volumes about her character and motivation.
Her community service spans nights and weekends, whether she’s:
- Speaking with Habitat for Humanity homebuyers
- Mentoring local students
- Showing up whenever she’s needed most
Margie’s passion is contagious, uplifting those around her and inspiring others to step forward and get involved.
Ginger: Engaging new volunteers through thoughtful, creative leadership
Ginger has been instrumental in bringing first time volunteers into EverBank’s community efforts. Her leadership style—thoughtful, intentional and creative—has opened doors for associates who may not have otherwise taken that first step.
She is known for planning meaningful engagement experiences, including one standout contribution: helping create a career themed scavenger hunt that introduced students to the world of banking in an interactive, innovative way.
Ginger doesn’t just organize volunteer events—she designs experiences that make people want to return.
A trailblazing partnership
Margie and Ginger’s work reflects the power of collaboration. Their partnership not only supports EverBank’s CRA goals but also strengthens relationships with associates and the communities we serve.
By lifting each other up—and bringing others along with them—they’ve created moments of impact that will resonate far beyond this award.
