What does EverBank do with your personal information collected from this mobile application?
Why?
For your convenience, EverBank (“we,” “us”) offers you the ability to access some of our products and services through mobile applications. This Mobile Privacy Disclosure describes the types of private user data or “Personal Information” that are collected (directly or through service providers) from this mobile downloadable application and related mobile-optimized services offered by us (collectively, the “Service”). This Mobile Privacy Disclosure is intended to supplement the disclosures in any privacy notice(s) that you may be presented by us in connection with online banking or other services. This application requests access to information that may be stored on your device. Information collected by this application may be used to enrich and simplify your user experience, improve our services, run diagnostics related to application performance, obtain data related to your use of the application, and provide additional security to protect your account. Certain personal information, including your email address and your mobile device identifier, are automatically collected once you authenticate (log in) within the application for the purposes specified above and cannot be disabled until the application is deleted.
In addition, this mobile application may request access to information stored on your device such as your location data, camera, images, or other information to enable you to utilize certain features available within the application. It is important for you to understand that:
- Before granting access to this information, you will be prompted to give the application that permission.
- If you do not wish to grant that permission, you may decline. The application will still work, however, certain features within the application may not be available to you and, for example, you may be contacted through other methods you have provided us to authenticate you for your protection.
- If you later change your mind, those permissions can be updated in your device’s settings.
What?
Some examples of personal information this application may request access to are:
- Your Location – Used to prevent fraudulent activity and to display branch and ATM locations near you. Precise location will not be collected without your permission/selection of that option.
- Your Contact Information (Address, Telephone Number, Email Address) – Used to enroll you in use of the application and authenticate you to prevent fraudulent activity.
- Your Mobile Device Identifier(s) – Used to authenticate you to prevent fraudulent activity.
- Your Devices Camera/Images – This mobile application may request access to your camera to enable your use of certain features available within the application, including to capture check images for mobile deposits.
How?
To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures designed to comply with federal law. These measures include computer safeguards and secured files and facilities.
The application information is retained in accordance with state and federal record retention laws and EverBank’s internal record retention procedures. Please contact us to determine if your personal information may be deleted.
