Updating your password
Updating your password is an important step in keeping your account secure. Changing your password regularly—or whenever you suspect unusual activity—helps protect your personal and financial information. This process is quick to complete and helps to ensure continued, safe access to your account.
How to update your password
You can update your password using either the website or our mobile app.
- Log in to your account at everbank.com
- Open the More... menu, and then choose Profile
- Within the Profile section, select Log in details
- Locate the password field and select the edit icon
- Enter your current password
- Create a new password using the required criteria
- Re-enter your new password to confirm it is accurate
- Select the Change Password button to save your new password
- Log in to your account on our mobile app
- Select the three-line menu icon in the upper-left corner
- Open the More... menu, and then choose Profile
- Within the Profile section, select Log in details
- Locate the password field and select the edit icon
- Enter your current password
- Create a new password that meets all criteria
- Re-enter your new password to confirm it is accurate
- Select the Change Password button to save your new password
Password requirements for your account
Please follow these rules to set up a valid password on your first try.
- Use 8 – 32 characters
- Include at least 1 uppercase letter
- Include at least 1 lowercase letter
- Include at least 1 number
- CANNOT include your first name, middle name, last name or user ID in forward or reverse
- CANNOT be one of your previous 6 passwords
