How to provide maturity instructions

EverBank Performance® CDs and Bump Rate CDs

You can set maturity instructions in advance of maturity, online until 5 p.m. (ET) the business day before the CD's maturity date. Unless you provided an advanced CD maturity instruction to close the CD, you can set or resubmit instructions during a CD's grace period (which ends 10 business days following your CD maturity date) without penalty.

You may choose to update the renewal term, add funds, withdraw funds or close the CD. If you do not provide instructions, your CD will automatically renew.

Instructions for other CD types

IRA CDs

If you'd like to let your CD automatically renew, there's nothing you need to do. The interest rate you’ll receive is the interest rate we are offering on the maturity date.

Quick answers

What are CD maturity instructions?

Is there a cut-off time to provide CD maturity instructions?

Yes, the cut-off times to provide CD maturity instructions are as follows:

For Matured CDs – In Grace Period: You can set or resubmit maturity instructions online for a CD during its grace period until 11:59 p.m. (ET) on the last day of the grace period. Maturity instructions given by phone or in a financial center need to be received by 5 p.m. (ET).

For CDs Not Yet at Maturity: You can set or edit maturity instructions that were given in advance of maturity online until 5 p.m. (ET) the business day before the CD's maturity date.

Is there a grace period if my CD has already matured?

Yes. Unless you instructed us to close your CD at maturity, you have ten business days after the maturity date to submit alternate instructions without penalty. Online instructions are accepted until 11:59 p.m. (ET) on the tenth business day while phone or in-person requests must be received by 5 p.m. (ET).

Please note that WorldCurrency CD accounts do not have a grace period and require instructions at least three days prior to maturity.

Can I change my instructions after I set them?

If you’ve previously set CD maturity instructions for a CD that has not yet matured, you can edit those instructions by using the following method.

Please note: You have until 5 p.m. (ET) the business day before the CD's maturity date to set, edit or delete CD maturity instructions for CDs that have not yet matured. And, unless you provided an advanced CD maturity instruction to close the account, you will still have the 10 business day grace period during which you can provide alternate instructions without penalty.
