Steps to close an account online
Step 1: Log in to your account
Access online banking from everbank.com.
Step 2: Navigate to account services
Open the Self Service menu and then choose Account Services.
Step 3: Access the close account form
Select the Close Account tab. You may need to verify your identity with a one-time passcode.
Step 4: Complete the online form
Select the account you want to close and choose a reason for closing it. Then, confirm your mailing address, and decide how you’d like to receive any remaining funds. Review the details and continue to complete the closure process.

What types of accounts can I close online?
You can close EverBank checking, money market, CD and savings accounts online.
EverBank World Markets® accounts cannot be closed online. Please contact the World Markets Desk for assistance at 1.800.926.4922.
To close an EverBank IRA, please use a Traditional or Roth IRA PDF withdrawal form.
If my account has remaining funds, how can I receive them?
Options vary based on your situation, but you can request to have your remaining funds sent via mailed check, internal transfer or external transfer.
